Bar services at Llyn Gwynant Barns
The Llyn Gwynant Barns are hired with a licensed bar, fully staffed and open throughout the afternoon and evening of your wedding day, open until late. We have a range of wines, draught beer and spirits including a carefully selected choice of gins. We try to use suppliers local to us and can discuss any special requests. We do not inflate prices for a wedding so they are reasonable, similar to those in pubs around this area.
We do not offer bespoke drink packages but instead allow couples to bring their own alcohol for arrival drinks, ceremony drinks and table wine on the wedding day. We will provide storage for drinks with shelving and refrigeration and also provide glassware which we wash afterwards. In return you must let us know the total quantity and costs of the alcohol before arrival and we charge a simple corkage fee of 10% of this cost, well below corkage rates in hotels. The fee covers our costs of providing and cleaning glassware as well as our obligations under the terms of our license which makes us responsible for all alcohol consumed on our site regardless of whether it is provided by us or by our guests. You must advise your guests of these arrangements as they cannot bring additional alcohol to be consumed on a day when the bar is open, under the terms of our license. This arrangement gives flexibility about the drinks available, where they are sourced and also their cost.
Be aware that you need to organise some guests to help set up and pour your drinks, depending on how you choose to do this, and also to collect glassware. These helpers will be like the designated helpers you need to organise parking and moving tables after your meal. Our staff will be running the bar on the day of your ceremony and we are happy to offer any advice and answer any questions you may have.
