Site plan of Llyn Gwynant barns

Printable document: Barn site plan

The Llyn Gwynant Barns complex consists of three interconnected buildings, Big barn, Tall barn and Kitchen barn, shown here in the foreground of the plan. The barns are located in Barn yard and are visible as you turn from the A498, at the large green ‘Campsite’ sign, into a smaller side road which also leads to the Llyn Gwynant Campsite.

A fine metal gate leads into Barn yard and two wooden gates lead into the private camping fields. A small hard standing area at the top of Barn field has four electric hook-ups and can be used for guests’ motorhomes, campervans or caravans. Be careful of underground services in these fields (see plan above); please make sure a staff member is present if any pegs longer than 30 cm are driven into the grass. A slate path at the top of Barn field leads to a flat area overlooking the lake, which is often used for the master glamping tent.

There is parking for around 20 vehicles in Barn yard and an overflow Wedding carpark on the driveway to the public campsite which can be used by arrangement. An outside toilet block is in the end of the barn with the big sign on it, and another toilet block is inside the barns. A large slate paved patio in front of the barns has a pagoda marquee, and a small paved patio at the back of Big barn which has stone table and seating overlooking the lake.
