Whitsun bank holiday 2016 saw many people converging on Llyn Gwynant campsite as the first spring weather brought thoughts of camping.
Llyn Gwynant Campsite has a Boat hire jetty where kayaks, both single and double as well as Canadian canoes are hired out by the hour, see our Boat hire page for details. Here we see two Canadian canoes rafted together that can be hired by groups, as well as a single kayak, all paddling in […]
Camping beside the Afon Glaslyn, not far from our Boat hire area. Kayakers can get used to paddling in this quiet area before they take hired boats out onto the lake.
There are eight bays along the hedgerow in Pen Helen with electric hook-ups, which can be booked by caravans, small campervans, trailer tents and tents. On the other side of the hedgerow there are 6 further bays with hook-ups in Ddol fach, however for planning reasons caravans cannot be placed here. Because we have so […]
Tents in the front of Pen Helen field, overlooking the lake. Cars can be parked close to the tents in the foreground, with rocks separating vehicles from tents. Llyn Gwynant boat hire operates from a jetty at the campsite, […]
These campers are in our late arrivals area, near the campsite reception. Tents are not pitched on the other side of white posts, which are obscured in this photo by the tent on the left. This leaves a wide area by the lake that is clear of tents and available for everyone to enjoy.
Here is the entrance to Ddôl fach, showing the Ddôl fach hedgerow bays with hook-ups on the left, the camping field on the right, with the Glyders magnificent in the background. Here you see how rocks are used on the campsite to separate vehicles from the camping grass, in this case on quite a busy […]
